NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST:
Complete one-year program from a hospital or four year program from a university.
Pass written and practical (hands - on) exam for certification.
RADIATION THERAPY TECHNOLOGIST:
Complete a 2-year Radiation Therapy program
Complete an accredited program in radiography followed by a 1-year Radiation Therapy Technologist program.
Complete 2-year Radiation Therapy program at American Medical Association approved hospital or school.
High school graduation or GED is required for acceptance into a program.
Complete 1 to 4 years of an educational program or have a combination of approved education and work experience.
Pass written exam given by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
Apply for certification in an area of specialization.
